2008 New Product Showcase
The 2008 New Product Showcase was held on December 9, 2008 at the City of Gulf Breeze’s Community Center. Seven product representatives made presentations and gave demonstrations on new products they have. The event was attended by approximately fifty people. Water and Sanitary Sewer Operators and Engineers received continuing education credit for the time they attended the event. 

January 2009 Bowling Tournament
The first fundraiser/social event of the 2009 year for Region IX was a bowling tournament held on January 23rd at OPPs Alley in Pace. Ninety seven bowlers participated in this event. There were also about 20 additional participants that did not bowl. Funds in the amount of $ 1,324.05 were raised. Thank you sponsors:

March Membership Meeting and Best
Tasting Drinking Water Contest
Region IX first quarterly membership meeting was held on March 18th at the offices of the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority in Pensacola. Approximately 25 people attended. Bob Capkovic, of U S Composite Pipe South, made a presentation on his company’s products for the water and waste water industries. H. D. Supply sponsored lunch. The Region IX Best Tasting Water Contest was held at this meeting. Five utilities participated in the water taste test. The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority was chosen as the best tasting water for Region IX for 2009.
