Mission Statement
The mission of FSAWWA is to assure present and future generations of Florida a sufficient supply of high quality drinking water. Toward that end, we have established the following objectives:
- Consumer confidence and satisfaction
- Safe, affordable and adequate drinking water through sound science
- Effective legislative and regulatory activities for the water community
- Prudent and responsible managerial, fiscal, and organizational strategies to increase effectiveness of drinking water organizations
- FSAWWA as a leader of the drinking water community in Florida.

Make the value of FSAWWA visible.

Develop and implement a marketing/communications plan in coordination with collaborative partnerships with other stakeholders and educational outreach programs to enhance the awareness of the public and influence policy makers regarding the quality of tap water, the health safety aspects of the water industry and our expertise and knowledge.

Enhance recruiting, communication and member services.

Develop a formal recruitment program in coordination with enhanced communication and sharing programs and top quality membership services to increase and retain our membership base and volunteer resources.

Achieve financial growth and stability.

Develop ten-year financial plan including revenue and expense projections that ensures continued and increased support of the Likins Scholarship, Water For People and other educational programs. The plan shall include mechanisms for yearly evaluations of alternative revenue sources, investment programs and fundraising options, including non-water industry sponsors.

Further enhance FSAWWA’s legislative effectiveness.

Proactively formulate legislative policy and implement collaborative partnering and/or alliances with other professional organizations, Water Management Districts and political leaders in combination with an increased presence in Tallahassee to enhance legislative effectiveness.

Develop an effective FSAWWA organization and structure.

Increase the effectiveness of our leaders; revise as necessary our operations and management systems and organizational structure to more effectively serve our members and goals.

Further develop effective FSAWWA training and certification programs.

Develop and meet new training goals through expanded delivery methods and partnering, marketing campaigns, focus on both target sector and new technology programs, high quality of service and an increased pool of qualified trainers while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
