AWWA's Story and the Florida Section

Founded in 1881, AWWA has made significant contributions to the water industry. Narrated by Jack Hoffbuhr, AWWA Executive Director from 1996 to 2008, the video at right imparts a sense of our integrity as advocates for the water industry over the last 128 years.The Florida Section of the American Water Works Association came into being on November 18, 1926 at an organizational meeting in Tampa. At the time, there were 19 active AWWA members. The Florida Section continues today as a vibrant and dedicated group of professionals.
