This committee operates under the policies and procedures established by the Water For People organization in Denver. Water For People was founded in 1991 by AWWA to help developing countries improve the quality of life by supporting sustainable drinking water, sanitation and hygiene projects. Water For People provides funding and technical assistance using an extensive network of volunteers, donors and partner organizations. With the commitment to help people help themselves, Water For People has supported over 500 projects in 40 countries worldwide.

We thank everyone who worked hard to support Water For People. FSAWWA International Travel Assistance Program (iTAP)
The Florida Section of the American Water Works Association (FSAWWA) has established an International Travel Assistance Program (iTAP) to provide FSAWWA members with partial funding towards travel and participation in the Water For People World Water Corps program. World Water Corps provides volunteers an opportunity to travel to the developing world, participate first-hand in engineering work and experience the impact of basic engineering on lives and economies around the world.
