In
order for a public water supply utility to implement a cost effective
demand management program, and conform to requirements for a water
management district permit, a dedicated staff person needs not only
to be assigned the water conservation role, but needs to belong
to a group of dedicated conservation professionals. The FSAWWA Water
Use Efficiency Division offers that opportunity.
|
| |
Study
after study has shown that properly planned implementation of water
conservation “Best Management Practices” (BMPs) can
enhance a utility’s water supply at costs far below that of
other “Alternative Water Supplies”.
